10th Grade Class Letter
Sophomore Class Letter
August 2026
Dear Sophomores and Parents/Guardians:
I hope that you are enjoying every aspect of your summer vacation. Mr. Devane, Mr. Fiore and myself have been planning for the opening of the high school throughout the summer, and we are looking incredibly forward to another successful school year.
The school year will begin for all students on Wednesday, September 2nd at 7:15 a.m. When arriving to the high school on Wednesday morning, all students will report to their homeroom. This classroom number will appear on your child's schedule on the Parent and Student portals.
Student schedules will be made available on the Portals on Wednesday, August 26th. Guidance Counselors will be reviewing schedules throughout the summer, and official schedules, along with your student planner, will be distributed on the first day of school.
In addition, we are happy to announce that the high school will be continuing to utilize Scholarchip, which is a school management system requiring students to swipe their ID card to gain entrance to the building, as well as various other locations in the building. Please make sure to bring the ID card that you were given last year to school on September 2nd. If you need a replacement ID, one can be purchased in the Library for $5. Your WBHS ID must be brought to school every day and worn visibly throughout the school day.
Finally, once the school year begins, the high school administration will hold grade level assemblies to discuss the code of conduct, the Dignity for All Students Act (DASA), attendance requirements, eligibility requirements, emergency procedures, and the expectations that we have for all students. These assemblies will occur within the first few days of school.
I hope that you and your family enjoy the rest of the summer vacation. We look forward to seeing you in September and anticipate a successful school year for all of us. If you have any questions before the first day of school, please feel free to contact me.
Thank you,
Stephen O'Leary
Principal
