Welcome Letter from the PTA President
Dear South Bay Families,
Welcome back, everyone!
I'm Kimberly Paolella, and I am so excited to be your South Bay Elementary School PTA President for the 2026–2027 school year. I want to extend a warm and heartfelt welcome to all our returning families, and an especially big welcome to all the new families joining us! We are thrilled to have you as part of our amazing community.
This year's PTA Board is a team of dedicated parents who love our school. We volunteer our time and energy to create a positive and enriching experience for all of our kids. Last year was a huge success with events like the Harvest Festival, the Someone Special Dance, Pancakes and Pajamas, and the South Bay Variety Show, just to name a few. In recent years, we've also provided every student with pencils, hosted in-school pumpkin patches, and funded many other fun and educational programs.
These wonderful events and programs are open to all students and families, and they are all made possible by our fundraising efforts, including our membership drive. That's why we hope you'll consider becoming a PTA member. Membership is open to everyone—parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and any member of the West Babylon community. Everyone is welcome here!
We know that everyone is busy juggling work, family commitments, and a million different schedules. While we'd love to see you at our monthly meetings, please know that attendance is absolutely not required to be a member. You can contribute in so many ways, big or small. You could come to meetings, become a class partner, chair a committee, or volunteer at a school event. There's a role for everyone, and we are so grateful for any support you can offer.
To stay in the loop, please visit the South Bay School Website (South Bay Website) and click the PTA tab. Our district has "gone green," so we'll be sharing a lot of information electronically. Be sure to follow the South Bay PTA Facebook page and our grade-level Facebook groups so you don't miss a thing!
We can't wait to see your meaningful support throughout the school year and hope to see you involved in our school community! If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to reach out. We look forward to seeing you at our first PTA meeting in September.
Sincerely,
Kimberly Paolella
South Bay Elementary School PTA President, 2026–2027
