Senior High School students participated in Brookhaven National Laboratory’s annual International Bridge Building contest on March 30. One hundred fifteen bridges were tested; the top two bridges moved on to the international competition. This is the second year West Babylon has participated in the contest. Five West Babylon students – Chris Alexiadis, John Gorcynski, Vamsi Parikh, Magdalena Obrycki and Zuzanna Obrycki – submitted bridges. Chris Alexiadis was named one of the qualifiers and his bridge was tested live on YouTube.
