From March 8-10, the West Babylon girls varsity track team competed at the nationals in Boston and New York City. Niomi Allison, Ja’Nasia Johnson, Alejandra Garcia, Camila Garcia and Sophia DiCiero all represented West Babylon at the New Balance Indoor Nationals in Boston and at the Nike Nationals in New York City. Camila Garcia was named an All-American at the New Balance Nationals in the 1-mile race walk. She is a five-year member of the West Babylon varsity team, and three-year captain. She took on race walk as a freshman and immediately excelled. She has consistently been ranked high in Suffolk County in this event.
