To celebrate the Chinese New Year, students at Forest Avenue Elementary School participated in a variety of activities during their library classes with Mrs. Francisco. Some of their activities included Chinese folklore read alouds, reader's theater, tangrams and year of the rabbit crowns. With a focus on Chinese folklore, students learned about Chinese culture and traditions. The Lunar New Year festival began on Jan. 21 and closed on Feb. 5 with a lantern festival.
