The third graders at John F. Kennedy Elementary School recently completed a cultural project to learn and share more about their family history. The students researched their ancestry by interviewing members of their family. They each created a poster to share information about their culture, such as timelines of immigration, family recipes and traditions, languages spoken and photos. To get a better understanding of each other’s backgrounds and help promote diversity, equity and inclusion, each student presented their project to their class.
