Students at South Bay Elementary School recently participated in a Thanksgiving STEM challenge during their classes with library media specialist Kara Levy. Students had five minutes to create a turkey using a cup of LEGO bricks. They were then given 30 KEVA blocks, a piece of scrap paper and a length of tape to create a hideout for the turkey. The hideout had to have an opening for a door and they had to engineer the structure so that the turkey was hidden if someone looked in the door.
