The sun was shining and West Babylon School District’s students were excited to start the new school year on Sept. 2. With backpacks filled, students entered their buildings with teachers and administrators on hand to welcome and guide them. The kindergarten students were accompanied off their buses and met by staff to explore their new teachers and classrooms. Sixth and ninth grade students were also welcomed into their new buildings and had the chance to get acquainted with their teachers and classmates. As the day came to a close, the students were excited for what lies ahead for the 2021-2022 school year.
