Student-Athletes Commit to Colleges

Twenty-four West Babylon School District senior-athletes have committed to continuing their athletic careers in college this coming fall. On May 3, the students gathered with their families, coaches and administrators to celebrate their athletic accomplishments.

The West Babylon athletics department congratulates the following senior athletes for continuing their athletic careers in college: 

Cheerleading: Allison Cella – Monmouth University; Amanda Pomilio – University of Rhode Island; and Olivia VanDoran – SUNY Albany

Football: Kasper Borawski – SUNY Cortland; Cameron Lizardi – Utica College; and James Salis – Utica College

Boys lacrosse: Mike Heller – University of Tampa; Stephen Lee – Springfield College; Jared Pellicione – Misericordia University; Joseph Randolph – SUNY Farmingdale; Jackson Vecchio – Johnson and Wales University; Logan Vilardi – SUNY Plattsburgh; and Sean Wallace – Misericordia University

Girls lacrosse: Alyssa Apuzzo – American University; Ellie Downey – SUNY Oneonta; Marissa Moran – Manhattan College; Kaitlyn Russell – Ithaca College; and Olivia Vergano – United States Military Academy, Army West Point

Girls ice hockey: Tara Henshaw – Endicott College and Sara Dunford – University of Massachusetts

Girls cross-country/track and field: Emily Burke – Molloy College and Josephine Critchley – LIU Post

Baseball: Jesse Marchese – Keuka College and Cole Maucere – University of New Haven

Softball: Cailyn Rodriguez – St. Joseph's College
