School Spirit Runs High During Homecoming Weekend

West Babylon School District celebrated homecoming with a weekend filled with school spirit, community pride and memorable moments for students, families, staff and alumni on Oct. 2 and 3.
The festivities kicked off with a spirited homecoming parade, as students, staff, families and community members came together to celebrate. Following the parade, there was a special ribbon cutting for West Babylon Junior High School’s new outdoor athletic complex. The celebration officially recognized the newly renovated athletic facilities and the opportunities they will provide for students and the community for years to come. To close out Friday evening, the excitement continued with a lively pep rally, where students and athletes were cheered on by their classmates and supporters.
The following day, the community gathered for the homecoming football game against the Rocky Point Eagles. While the team came up short on the scoreboard, the stands were filled with enthusiastic fans who proudly supported the players and celebrated the homecoming tradition. The marching band and cheerleaders’ halftime performances kept the crowds engaged.
The weekend concluded with the homecoming dance at the high school, where they officially crowned the homecoming king and queen. The dance gave students an opportunity to come together, celebrate and cap off a weekend full of school spirit. From the parade and pep rally to the ribbon cutting, football game and dance, homecoming brought the entire school community together for a weekend to remember.
