Red, White and Blue Pride at Santapogue’s Flag Day

Dressed in red, white and blue and proudly waving flags, students and staff at Santapogue Elementary School came together on June 15 for the school’s Flag Day celebration.
The special ceremony brought the school community outdoors to honor the American flag and reflect on the freedoms, values and unity it represents. Students participated in a meaningful tribute that highlighted the importance of patriotism, respect and civic pride.
Santapogue’s Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts played an important role in the ceremony by assisting with the raising of the flag. Following the flag-raising, members of the school chorus performed the national anthem, creating a memorable and inspiring moment for all in attendance.
Student Council members shared facts about the history and significance of the American flag, discussing its symbolism and the ideals of freedom and unity that it represents. The Flag Day celebration provided Santapogue students with an opportunity to learn, reflect and come together as a school community in appreciation of the nation’s history and values.
