Eighth Graders Immerse in Boston’s History

West Babylon Junior High School eighth grade students recently returned from their annual class trip to Boston, where they immersed themselves in history through a variety of educational and interactive experiences.
Upon arriving in Boston, students enjoyed lunch at Quincy Market before participating in a guided tour of the city. The tour included stops along the historic Freedom Trail and downtown Boston, giving students the opportunity to learn about the city’s rich role in American history. The day concluded with dinner at the hotel followed by an evening of music and dancing with classmates.
On the second day of the trip, eighth graders interacted with historical interpreters and explored early colonial life. They also visited Plymouth Rock and viewed the Mayflower II. Additional highlights included a tour of the historic USS Constitution and an interactive experience at the Plimoth Grist Mill.
The annual trip provided students with a memorable opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-world experiences while creating lasting memories with their classmates.
