Theater Students Explore Broadway on Educational Field Trip

On Feb. 11, theater students from West Babylon Senior High School traveled to New York City for an exciting and educational theater experience. Students were given free tickets to attend the Broadway production of “High Spirits” at New York City Center.
Following the performance, students visited the Museum of Broadway, where they explored the history of theater and learned more about the art of stage production. Throughout the day, students were able to make meaningful connections between the show and “Curtains,” identifying shared themes, references and theatrical elements they have been studying in class.
The trip provided students with a valuable real-world learning opportunity, allowing them to see professional theater in action and deepen their appreciation for the performing arts. A special thank you to Janet Carey and Chris Patruno for serving as chaperones and helping make the day a success.
