Kindergarten students at South Bay Elementary School recently read “The Legend of Spookley the Square Pumpkin” by Joe Troiano and learned important lessons about kindness, acceptance, empathy and celebrating differences. After discussing how being unique makes everyone special, the students created their own colorful pumpkins using different shapes, sizes and colors.
