Fifth graders at Tooker Avenue Elementary School have been studying and researching important movements in history as part of their social studies curriculum. Students picked a topic to delve deeper into – such as women’s suffrage, civil rights, the American Disabilities Act, Native American Rights, slavery and abolition – and worked in small groups to research the topics and create Google Slide presentations. The students then became the teachers as they presented their topic to the class.
