John F. Kennedy Elementary School teamed up with schools across the country to participate in the Great Kindness Challenge from Jan. 23-27.

Every day throughout the week presented a different challenge. Students received a bookmark and pledged to be kind. They also received a challenge/mission card. Students could choose to accept the challenge or create their own. Students were also encouraged to write something kind and post it in the lobby for school to see. The week concluded with a schoolwide assembly.

There was also a spirit week theme tied to each day of the challenge. Each day, students enjoyed dressing up according to different themes to promote kindness. They also read special announcements in the morning to promote kindness.
