Holiday STEM Lessons at South Bay

Students Holding Their Creation of a Holiday Symbol thumbnail208320
Student in Kara Levy’s library class at South Bay Elementary School spent time exploring different holidays and religions. In a recent lesson, the students learned about Hanukkah on Pebble Go. They read, “There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Dreidel,” which featured many of the Hanukkah symbols and traditions from the Pebble Go research. They were then given a paper featuring pictures of all of those holiday symbols and worked to try to recreate them using their choice of either LEGOs, Keva blocks or a combination of both.
