Emily Paolillo, a seventh grader from the junior high school, won first place in the Town of Babylon’s Veterans’ Awareness Week Essay Contest. Her essay – “Not All Heroes Wear Capes” – honored all veterans, but was inspired by her grandfather, a Marine.

In addition, Santapogue Elementary School fifth Noah Mandelbaum received second place in the Town of Babylon’s Veterans’ Awareness Week Essay Contest.
