Administration Office Temporarily Relocated
The administration wing attached to the high school was flooded as a
result of a burst pipe. The destruction is major and includes the
entire carpet throughout the wing being damaged and removed. Because the
carpet is glued to asbestos-containing floor tiles, a NYS licensed
asbestos abatement contractor has been hired to remove the carpet and
The work will follow the NYS and EPA requirements for asbestos
abatement. Although the administration wing is already isolated from the
rest of the high school, it will be further isolated from the building
with air-tight barriers. Air filtration units will be installed inside
the work area to create a negative pressure environment inside. The
work will be monitored by Enviroscience Consultants, Inc. an
independent environmental consulting company, who will test the air
before, during and after the removal to ensure the safety of the
building occupants. The removal is scheduled to be completed by the end
of this week. Upon completion, BELFOR, the restoration company will
begin to address the other areas affected in the administration wing.
The human resources, curriculum and superintendent's office have been
temporarily relocated to the High School. If you would like to reach
these offices, please note that all phone numbers have been redirected
to the HS temporary locations. You may also contact the high school main
office and they will redirect your call.
Thank you for your patience as we go through this process.
