Two students from John F. Kennedy Elementary School – fifth grader Naiya Terpis and third grader Andrew Graham – have been named winners in the Town of Babylon Veterans’ Awareness Week essay contest. Terpis placed first for her essay submission and Graham took second-place honors. In addition to winning a gift card for their submission, the students will be recognized on Nov. 1 in a ceremony at Babylon Town Hall where they will have the opportunity to read their essays.
