Senior High School student Nicole Nowakowski has been named the winner of the 2020 Census Logo contest. Sponsored by the Health and Welfare Council of Long Island, the contest was open to all Long Island school districts. The idea behind the campaign is to allow students to create media that will help engage their families, friends and other community members to participate in the 2020 census. More than 100 students submitted artwork in the contest and the winner was chosen based on numbers of votes on the HWCLI’s website. Nicole is joined by Babylon Deputy Supervisor Tony Martinez (left), Superintendent of Schools Dr. Yiendhy Farrelly (right) and Senior High School administrators.
