Holiday Message from Dr. Farrelly

Dear West Babylon Parents/Guardians:

Another year in the books! I cannot believe 2018 is coming to an end. Although it is a hectic time of the year, the holidays are about family, friends and loved ones. It is a time for reflection and a time for giving and supporting others in need.

Our Board of Education, Administration team, staff and faculty members continue to work together to provide rigorous standards based instruction, enhance our safety and security measures, provide a supportive learning and work environment and enhance our communication methods while maintaining fiscal stability. This year, I have watched many of our WB families experience great loss. I’ve also watched many WB friends become West Babylon family. I’ve expressed my sincere condolences to some families experiencing great sadness and just minutes later, expressed my congratulations to others experiencing great joy. Life is certainly quite the journey.

In 2019, I am asking staff, faculty members and our West Babylon community to REFLECT, consider your BLESSINGS, be GRATEFUL, be HUMBLE, ENJOY your CHILDREN and loved ones, BE MINDFUL and take great CARE of yourSELF.

Your children are wonderful beings. I am eternally grateful to serve as their Superintendent of Schools. I wish you and your family a wonderful holiday season! May this holiday season and 2019 be filled with love, happiness, health and good fortune.

Your Superintendent of Schools,

Yiendhy Farrelly, Ed.D.
