The Tri-M Music Honor Society, under the advisement of Dana Meadows, attended the annual Light the Night Walk on Oct. 20.

For the past nine years, West Babylon’s student-musicians have attended this event. Band members played field show music and jock jams as a pep band and other music department students held signs and cheered for the walkers.

Light the Night Walk is a fundraising campaign of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society which brings together families and communities to honor blood cancer survivors, as well as those lost to the diseases. The event also shines a light on the importance of finding cures and providing access to treatments for blood cancer.
