The varsity boys and varsity girls bowling teams qualified for the Suffolk County Bowling Championship on Feb. 4. The varsity boys bowling team won the League I championship for the second time in the past three years. The team had a 13-1 overall record.

The boys team had four bowlers named All-League: Danny Feehan (208.5 average); Peter Ramos (227.4 average); Vincent DeLucia (208.6 average); and Nichols Giovanniello ( 212.4 average). Giovanniello also two 300 perfect games this year and was featured in Newsday as the “Athlete of the Week.”

Ramos was one of six bowlers named to the All-County team and will represent Section 11 in the state tournament in March. He has the third-highest average in Suffolk County with a 227.4.
