The Senior High School joined the global community by recognizing and supporting World AIDS Day on Nov. 30. This year’s theme was “Access Equity Rights Now,” reminding students to continue to push forward and build a strong global movement in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

Each year, a group of West Babylon High School students put together a performance to educate their peers and their community on HIV/AIDS, how to prevent it, and how to show compassion to those living with the virus. Students took to the auditorium stage for choreographed dance performances, informative skits, inspirational songs and poems and video presentations.

With more than 34 million people around the world affected by the disease, World AIDS Day is an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, support those living with HIV and to commemorate people who have died.
