Earlier this year, the children in Mrs. Febbraro's second grade class petitioned the principal to find out whether they could earn a "laser maze" if every child in the class read 150 pages -- a class total of 2,700 pages. An agreement was struck and the children got busy reading. By June, Mrs. Febbraro and the children proudly reported that they had met their goal! With the assistance of PE teacher, Nicole Torres, a "laser maze" was created and set up in the gym. The children had a blast crawling through it forwards, backwards, and even with a blindfold on! Thanks to Mrs. Febbraro, Mrs. Torres and the children for creating, accomplishing and rewarding this fun reading challenge!
