Forest Avenue's Red Ribbon Week

It was Red Ribbon Week and Character Certainly Counts Week (Oct. 19 - 23).

We started the week off with a kickoff ceremony together with Tooker Avenue on Monday. All students were dressed in red as they took a pledge to live a drug-free life. Thank you to our PTA for supplying our students with pencils and red pinwheels, so that we could make our pledge to, "Knock the wind out of drugs!"

Throughout the week we had many opportunities to show our support.
Monday – “Red Day” – Please wear red to school today.
Tuesday – “Put A Cap On Drugs!” – Wear a hat or put your hair in a crazy
style.
Wednesday – “Kick Drugs Away!” – Wear mismatched shoes or sneakers.
Thursday – “Being Drug Free Is No Sweat” – Wear sweatshirt and/or
sweatpants today.
Friday – “Team Up Against Drugs” – Wear your favorite Team Jersey.

It was a great week!
