West Babylon Welcomes Michael Devane, HS Assistant Principal

West Babylon High School welcomes Michael Devane as its new assistant principal for the 2015-16 school year.

Prior to joining the high school administrative team, Devane served as a social studies teacher for nine years in the Baldwin School District. He has an extensive background working on numerous committees and curriculum writing teams. At Baldwin, he was the lead teacher for curriculum in global studies and economics and coached both football and baseball.

“Mr. Devane’s leadership abilities will prove to be an asset to our district,” said Superintendent Yiendhy Farrelly. “We welcome him to our team and look forward to working with him this year.”

Devane received his advanced certificate in school building leadership from The College of Saint Rose. He earned his bachelor’s degree in education from Long Island University and his master’s degree from Stony Brook University.
