West Babylon High School student-artist Anna Fleury was named the first-place winner in Riverhead’s East End Arts Gallery art “Composition” competition. Her artwork titled “Red Roof” is a photo on canvas and an aerial view of the Fire Island Lighthouse. Her work will be on view from June 20 through August 1.

Anna, a sophomore, is a student in Heather Korchma’s Drawing and Painting II class and Christine Iaquinto’s Photo II class. She will continue her art studies in Ms. Korchma’s Advanced Placement Studio class this fall.

The district congratulates Anna on this exceptional achievement and continued success in her art studies at West Babylon High School.
