West Babylon High School senior-artists Luke Adams and Ryan Flanagan were selected to display their artwork in the juried Long Island’s Best Young Artists Exhibition sponsored by the Heckscher Museum of Art in Huntington from March 20 to April 27. The students were two of 80 students chosen to present their artwork in this prestigious show out of 350 submissions from 51 public and private schools in Nassau and Suffolk counties.

Both artists, taught by Christine Iaquinto, entered their work into the category of digital media. Luke’s digital art piece is titled “Aura,” while Ryan’s is titled “Lost Signal.” Luke is also the winner of the prestigious Renzo S. Bianchi Scholarship Award.

“To have two students’ work selected is quite an accomplishment for the artists, as well as the art teachers who have taught them throughout their careers at West Babylon High School,” Principal Dr. Ellice Vassallo said.
