Representing WB this Friday will be Seniors Nick Morfesi, and Chris Smith, Juniors Liam O'Sullivan, Geo Amaya, and Nick Leone, and Sophomores Matt Estrada and Kevin Naviloff. Please wish these Eagles luck as they display their talents at this elite level.

Also, please come down and support the entire Eagle Squad as they close out the 2013 season at the Babylon Bowl. The race takes place on November 5th, at 3pm at Belmont State Park. This invitational has been a tradition for years and the Eagles look to be the top team in the Town of Babylon. Your cheering will go a long way!

On Tuesday (10/1) the Eagles took on East Islip at Belmont State Park. A special thanks to all faculty and staff who came down to support the team.

Unfortunately, the team fell a few points short of victory by a score of 25-30 in favor of the EI squad. However, what should be noted is the continual improvement of individual and total team time. 15 out of 18 runners improved on their times from the last time they ran at Belmont, which was on 9/17 against Deer Park.

Manny DeLeon, Matthew Estrada, Pierre Piazza and Michael Valenti all improved by taking more than one minute off their times. In addition, Teddy Plezia and James Piccolo took over two minutes off their previous best at Belmont.

Leading the pack again for the Eagles were Nick Morfesi (2nd overall), Geo Amaya (5th overall), Nick Leone (6th overall), and Liam O'Sullivan(7th overall), who all placed in the top ten of the race.

Overall, the team average time for the 5K course improved from 23:07 to 21:53.

With the season just about half way done we will continue to strive for the best and build a foundation to take into next season.

Up next for the Eagles is the Tom Knipfing Invitational in Ridge today at 4pm.
