During the first week of October, the seventh grade classes at West Babylon Junior High School were introduced to lessons on the Native American tribe, the Iroquois of New York State. The social studies department brought history to life by reading the creation myth of the tribe to the students in large groups outside, just like the Iroquois would have done with their storytelling so many years ago. The lessons will conclude with more history on the myths and Native American culture.
