The fifth graders in Ms. Stewart’s class are currently reading aloud the book “Home of the Brave.” They are learning to recognize details during their close reading and sharing those details during a “turn and talk” with their classmates. They are writing down details that they see in passages – details others might miss – reading interpretively.
