In recognition of National Stop Bullying Day on Oct. 13, students at John F. Kennedy Elementary School participated in “Rise Up Against Bullying Day at JFK.” In addition to wearing blue, the Parent-Teacher Association provided each class with a small poster board. The classes discussed the importance of kindness, friendliness and being an upstander. Teachers reiterated the importance of anti-bullying through class discussions. Each class generated an anti-bullying message and every student signed the poster board. The signs will be displayed in the school’s recess area.
