Four West Babylon Junior High School students have been recognized in the October Babylon Citizens Council on the Arts Fall Judged Sculpture and Photography Show. The winners’ photographs were selected among multiple school districts for the annual juried show. Art teacher Jennifer Tomeo motivated the students by encouraging their use of individual photography skills and composition. The eighth grade winners are: first place, Zuzanna Obrycki, “Sunset Beach;” second place, Grace Sjoholm, “A Cowboy’s Sunset;” third place, Olivia Saitta, “Anthem of the Seas;” and Alma Gaxiola received honorable mention.
