Kindergartners at Forest Avenue Elementary School enjoyed the autumn weather and explored a pumpkin patch on the grounds of the school. Joined by their parents, students searched for the perfect harvest pumpkin. Upon choosing, students returned to their classroom where they took part in pumpkin-themed workstations including one that taught students how to measure the circumference of their pumpkins. The event, hosted by kindergarten teachers Alyson Russo, Carolyn Bogart and Kristen Wilken, created an environment in which students were able to learn from their surroundings and celebrate the season.
