On Jan. 18, the girls winter track team captured their fourth consecutive league championship, becoming only the second team in 33 years to achieve such a feat for Section XI League III. On Jan. 31, the team placed third at the county championships, marking their fourth consecutive top three county finish at the meet.

At the Section XI state qualifying meet in early February, several athletes represented West Babylon:
* Alexandra Trischetti (fourth overall, 55m high hurdles)
* Erin Thompson (18th overall ,55m high hurdles)
* Jenna D’Onofrio (sixth overall, 1000m)
* Julianna Haab (11th overall, high jump)
* Ja’Len DeFilippis (second overall, 600m)
* Jaimee Starzee (seventh overall, shotput)
* Sara Vozza (10th overall, pole vault)
* Shannon Hieber, Jo Critchley, Ja’Len DeFilippis and Jenna D’Onofrio (third overall, 4x800m relay)

Advancing to the state championship for the second consecutive year in the 600 meter run was Ja’Len DeFilippis. Ja’Len currently ranks 10th overall in New York State for the event. She will compete on March 7 at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island in an attempt to become All-State.

All-County honors were awarded to:
* Alexandra Trischetti: 55m hurdles
* Jenna D’Onofrio: 1000m (Academic All-County)
* Ja’Len DeFilippis: 600m 
* 4x800m relay (Hieber, Critchley, DeFilippis and  D’Onofrio). This team has also run a nationally qualifying time and will be competing in the event on March 13 at the Armory Track in New York City.
