The girls track team competed at the Millrose Games trials in New York City on Jan. 8. The girls 4 x 800 relay team ran a current Long Island #1 and New York State #5 time of 9:38.55. The team – Josephine Critchley, Shannon Hieber, Ja’Len DeFilippis and Jenna D’Onofrio – also qualified for New Balance Nationals in March and the Penn Relays in April with their mark. The team will be preparing for league championships at Suffolk Community College in Brentwood on Jan. 18.
