Ms. Goldenbaum supervises the School Food Service Department for the West Babylon School District, which has the responsibility of providing the 4,400 students and 700 staff members with the best meals, snacks and catering functions at the lowest possible cost and selling price.

Ms Goldenbaum is also responsible for the proper implementation of the district's free and reduced lunch policy.  She is in charge of competitive bidding for all food, paper goods and equipment supplies needed for the school food service department.  She serves as the technical advisor to the school administration in matters concerning the food service program's policies and expenditures.

Ms. Goldenbaum is a member of the Superintendent's Management Council, the Superintendent's Management Team and the Wellness Committee.  In addition, she is a member of the American School Food Service Association, the New York State School Food Service Association and the Long Island School Food Service Directors Association for which she was president during the 2001-2002 school year.  She is most proud of her three Best Practices Awards that the district received in 1993 and 2000.

Ms. Goldenbaum holds a bachelors degree in Home Economics from Queens College.  Before coming to West Babylon in 1979, Ms. Goldenbaum was a School Food Service Supervisor for the Broward County Florida School District where she was responsible for the operations of thirty-two school food service departments.
