2012 Summer Reading Information
Summer Reading Themes at New York Libraries
Every year, the Office of Language Arts and Testing aligns its summer reading program with the public library's themes. The West Babylon Schools' Art Department student, Sierra McKenna, worked diligently to create an engaging Summer Reading Campaign. This year's elementary theme is Dream Big-READ and the secondary theme is Own the Night.
At the West Babylon Public Library:
1. Visit the YA or the Children's Rooms in the West Babylon Public Library to see the vast collection of summer reading books.
2. Participate in the Battle of the Books at the West Babylon Public Library.
3. Visit the website, Summer Reading at New York Libraries, http://www.nysl.nysed.gov/libdev/summer/.
