Varsity Field Hockey Team Honored

The Suffolk County Field Hockey Coaches Association hosted their annual dinner on Dec. 4, honoring the athletes and coaches from the 2018 field hockey season. This year, West Babylon’s varsity assistant coach Patricia Fedelem received the highest honor: the Roz Mularz Award. 

This award is given to one coach each year that has made a significant difference in the sport of field hockey. Fedelem had retired after being the head coach for Sayville for 21 years, before coming and joining West Babylon for the past two years. 

Other varsity field hockey players from West Babylon honored included: Miranda Zarama, Unsung Hero Award; Jocelyn Hyner, All-Division; Hannah Leddy, All-Division goalie; Danielle Lozowsky, All-County Honorable Mention; Juliana Radulski, All-County Honorable Mention; and Margret Irene Lactaoen, All-County.
