JHS Students Sweep BACCA Awards

Junior High School students recently took home the top three awards in grades 6-8 at the Babylon Citizens Council on the Arts 2016 Judged Photography and Sculpture Show at Old Town Hall in Babylon.

Seventh-grader Siya Wadhwa placed first in the photography category for her photo “A View of the World.” Eighth-grader Jordyn Hickey placed second for her photo “The Art of the World,” and seventh-grader Stephanie Curley took third place for her photo “Flowers.” Honorable mention went to seventh-grader Liam Mengler for his “Freedom” photo.

The artwork was on display from Sept. 20 to Oct. 5 with an awards ceremony on Sept. 29.
