Junior High School students had a special visit from West Babylon Public Library representatives on Feb. 11 to gain insight into all the public library has to offer. Librarians Nicole Peters and Carisse Bormann discussed some of the many resources available at the public library, such as live homework help using Brainfuse, teen advisory groups, Science Buddy groups, and different contests and displays for grades 6-12.

Forest Avenue celebrated the Year of the Monkey on Feb. 10 in honor of the Chinese Lunar New Year. Students read Chinese literature including folktales, fairy tales and legends. Lessons of the day focused on Chinese New Year traditions and Chinese zodiac signs, and to show off their creative talents, students crafted and decorated their own Chinese lanterns.
