John F. Kennedy Elementary participated in a Reading Challenge designed by Gwen McHugh, librarian at Santapogue. Eamon Murray in Joseph Russo’s fifth grade class met this challenge by reading 18 books from varied categories such as: a book with more than 200 pages, a book that became a movie, a book published the year you were born, a book set in school and more.
Eamon read through these challenges five months earlier than the June 15, 2016 deadline. Congratulations Eamon! Deborah Morris, librarian at JFK, enjoyed all of his choices and commended his enthusiasm.
