Tooker Avenue transformed into a winter wonderland Polar Express on Dec. 22.  Teachers and students dressed in their pajamas and just like in the movie and book, “The Polar Express,” each child who entered the building received a golden ticket that was punched by Principal Charles Germano or physical education teacher Mike Bellacosa.

The building was transformed into the Polar Express, and hallways were decorated with rail cars, sparkling lights, and a front train car complete with a working light.  After reading “The Polar Express,” students were treated to hot cocoa and cookies as they watched the movie with their teachers and classmates.  When the book and the movie were done, many classrooms compared the movie and the book, describing what was the same and different in each of the stories.
