During the week of Dec. 7, South Bay School students participated in the creation of two unity murals, which will be displayed in the school corridors. Artist/author-in-residence Joyce Raimondo facilitated the project in conjunction with South Bay PTA cultural arts volunteers and art teacher Melinda Fischer. The murals, painted on canvas, depict images and phrases related to the themes of growth, mindset and character education. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Yiendhy Farrelly also contributed to the mural. Contributors also included South Bay Principal JoAnn Scott and several PTA volunteers.
