Library specialist Andrea Francisco, the West Babylon Public Library and New York State Sen. Phil Boyle teamed up to motivate students to read over the summer vacation through participation in the New York State Senate Summer Reading Program. This year’s theme is Every Hero Has a Story, and fun-filled activities will take place at the West Babylon Public Library throughout the summer for elementary school students.

Students entering up to fifth grade and their caregiver are invited to join the West Babylon Public Library for its Summer Reading Club kickoff party on Saturday, June 27 from 11-11:45 a.m. or 12-12:45 p.m. There will be face painting, balloon twisting, crafts, a bubble freeze dance and a visit from the Spiderman. Participants must register at the library.
